Enugu All Progressives Congress, APC Chairman Chief Ugochukwu Agballa has vowed that the party cannot give Ekweremadu it’s Governoship ticket.
Addressing a world press conference to intimate the people on the party’s readiness to takeover Enugu, Agballa said the Senator has been wooing the national leadership of the party to be handed over Enugu guber ticket.
Agballa who spoke on Sunday at the APC zonal office, disclosed that he held discussions with Ekweremadu “just like other of my friends in PDP. But he asked for the guber ticket.”
The APC Chairman said it’s not possible. “Even after the primary, I’m surprised. His demand is repugnant to natural justice. It’s Ignoble. It’s evil and we shall resist it.
“He is in court claiming he was subverted in the PDP and now running up and down asking to contravene the electoral act.
“He is putting pressure on the national Chairman. He is not a member. Nobody can give him a waiver to subvert what we have done.
“We cannot give him our Governoship ticket.
“I see him as one of the heroes of the electoral act.
“The Governorship position is not even zoned to his zone. In the party he was a leader. Now he want to subvert our system. What kind of a man is Ekweremadu? Who is Ekweremadu?
“I will not allow hawks to destroy what we have done.
Ekweremadu has been in government for 24 years, he should support others for once, Agballa insisted.
