Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) has announced an extension of the deadline for Political Party Primary Elections.
The Commission in a statement said Political Party Primary Elections has been extended from August 12, 2024, to August 19, 2024.
ENSIEC said the extension is to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive electoral process and provide political parties with additional time to conduct their primaries in a manner that guarantees the full participation of all party members.
“We understand the importance of timely electoral activities and assure the public that this extension is made in the best interest of free, fair, and credible elections in Enugu State.
‘We urge all political parties and stakeholders to utilize this extended period effectively and to adhere to the new deadline.”
