Chief Whip of Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Jane Eneh is still swimming in troubled waters despite alleged attempts to armtwist the police in Enugu State.
The police is investigating allegations of perjury, false information and defamation of character reported against her via a petition by Mr. Kenechukwu Nweke.

The Chief Whip allegedly refused to appear before the police in Enugu.Â
Â
She rather filed a counter petition accusing Mr Nweke (the petitioner) and other perceived enemies of armed robbery.
Among those joined in her petition was her opponent in the PDP House of Assembly Primary, Barr Henry Nnanna Okeke.
Â
Kenechukwu was allegedly arrested by the same police, without the Chief Whip honouring their several invitations.
Â
Those she accused of armed robbery include Messrs Kenechukwu Nweke, Henry Nnanna Okeke, Ken Onyekaonwu, Sunday Okafor, Fortune Ogbonna and Tochukwu Chukwu all resident in Enugu and members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Not satisfied with the manner the matter was being handled in Enugu, the accused persons through their Counsel D. D Dodo & Co petitioned the Force Headquarters Abuja.
In an invitation letter signed by ACP Y. Y. Abubakar, Mrs. Eneh has been requested to report for an interview with the force Headquarters on Monday 8th August, 2022.
The letter said she must appear unfailingly.
“The invitation is compelled by the law enforcement requirement as provided for in Section 53 (2) (a) of the administration of Criminal Justice act 2015.”
The petition to Abuja read inter alia:
“On May 19, 2022, one of my Clients, Mr. Kenechukwu Nweke submitted a petition bordering on perjury and false information against Hon. Jane Chinwendu Ene (Nee Agu), the Chief Whip of the Enugu State House of Assembly. The said petition was assigned to D4 section of the SCID.
“The suspect Hon. Jane Chinwendu Eneh was invited by the Enugu State Police Command three times but she blatantly refused to honour police invitation.
“The said Jane Eneh was further invited to the police on Thursday, 14/7/2022 but instead of honouring the invitation, she wrote a spurious counter petition (which petition was assigned to D9 section of the SCID) against my clients falsely alleging that my clients robbed and assaulted her during the PDP primary election which held on the 22nd day of May, 2022.
“She instigated the arrest of Kenechukwu Nweke, the Complainant in the case of perjury and false information who was later granted bail same day.
“The Suspect herein, Hon. Jane Chinwendu Eneh is now boasting of directing the activities of the Enugu State Police Command and vows to ensure further arrest of my clients and send them to prison….”
