Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), for Saturday Anambra guber election Chidozie Nwankwo has stepped down.
He stepped down on Friday for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Valentine Ozigbo.
The Director General of Chidozie Nwankwo Campaign Organization, Ejike Nwachukwu, confirmed the development via statement,
The statement partly read, “It is significant for being the only one of such endorsements in this campaign season.
“After due consultations with top aides, friends and family, we do hereby endorse the best candidate in this contest, Mr Valentine Chineto Ozigbo of the PDP, to win the governorship election.
“We hereby collapse our campaign structures, the Kingdom Care Foundation structure and all the Pentecostal structures supporting our candidacy in this election to support the election of Mr Valentine Ozigbo of the PDP.”
This development will be a boost to the PDP as its coming barely twenty four hours to the election, which is on Saturday, November 6th, 2021.
