Hon VITUS OKECHI the Executive Chairman of IGBO-EZE SOUTH Local Government Area has left no one in doubt of his agenda and commitmemt to all round development and upliftment of his people.
From his swearing in, the Chairman hit the ground running, recording landmark achievements that have left people applauding.
Igboeze South have never had it so good and the people are singing the praises of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who brought this ‘messiah’ to them.
He resumed work on the 4th of March, just a day after swearing in. Since then it’s been Action, Action, Action!!!
While his colleagues were still basking in the euphoria of their election victory as well as struggling to set up a government, the Igboeze South Local Government Chairman Hon Vitus Okechi had taken off with positive achievements that have left others more confused.
A man of few words, Hon Vitus Okechi commenced activities with on-the-spot inspection of dilapidated facilities in the Council Headquarters, and an abandoned Water Borehole inside the Councils headquarters since 2012.
He also inspected some damaged/burnt transformers across the Council and most especially that of Likke IHEAKA and Ibagwa-Aka, the Heart of the Council Area that has been in total Blackout for 30 months.
In less than three weeks he has strated fixing some of the areas that needed urgent attention.
The blackout in the area is being addressed with the arrival and installation of two brand new 500KVA transformers in Likke IHEAKA and in IBAGWA-AKA respectively.
Also the abondoned borehole has received quick attention. Not just that it’s been fixed, the Chairman is working on expansion of the water scheme.
He wants to take it further by planning to mounting a 5000 litres capacity overhead tank which would make for more regular water supply across the local Government headquarters and it’s environs.
It should also be recalled that OKECHI, AMEDU (Kpakpando) the Vice Chairman Igboeze South and with his team have been on inspection/tour to all the Government facilities and offices across the council area to check the level of dilapidations, the Challenges/problems of Staff of Health Centres, that of the Teachers and their Pupils.
This outstanding Enugu Local Government Chairman has vowed to find lasting solutions to the problems within the capacity of his administration.
Surely, this Daniel has come to JUDGEMENT.
