The president has named the current Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, as his principal secretary.
It had earlier been speculated that 51-year-old Muri-Okunola would be named Tinubu’s private secretary.
Muri-Okunola, who is a lawyer, was a former Personal Assistant to Tinubu. He has also held various positions within the Lagos civil service.One notable appointment is that of Moremi Ojudu, the first daughter of Babafemi Ojudu, the former Special Political Adviser to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. Moremi, who actively supported Tinubu’s campaign, will be serving as Senior Special Assistant to the President (SSAP) on Community Engagement in the South West.
Other appointees include Tanko Yakasai (North West), Chioma Nweze (South East), Abiodun Essiet (North Central), and Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba (North East), who will all serve as Senior Special Assistant to the President (SSAP) on Community Engagement in their respective geographical zones.
Tinubu also reappointed Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, former deputy governor of Lagos State as SSAP on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
