Ezeagu born stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Chukwudi (jnr) Otiji has congratulated Enugu Governor elect Peter Mbah on his election as Governor.
In a statement issued Wednesday night Prince Otiji described Mbah’s election as a victory for hope, development and better life for the good people of Enugu State.
He noted that the victory was expected having won the hearts and minds of the masses through his people oriented programmes which he showcased during his campaigns and interaction with the people ahead the Guber poll.
Otiji who hails from Aguobu Umumba in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State urged other Guber candidates who participated in the election to join hands with the Governor elect to provide quality leadership for the people.
Mbah was declared winner of the Enugu Governorship election Wednesday night after two days delay that resulted from objections from opposition party agents.
He defeated Labour Party’s candidate Barr. Chijioke Edeoga in a keenly contested election.
Prince Otiji also sent congratulatory message to the Senator elect for Enugu West Senatorial Zone Engr Osita Ngwu who incidentally was the only Senator selected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in the State.
He assured the people that their confidence on both leaders would not be regretted as they are well prepared for the positions to which they were elected.
