There are strong indications that Charles Soludo, Governor of Anambra State, may present the list of his cabinet members on or before the end of this week.
This comes as the governor has reappointed the Managing Directors of three key government agencies.
A source close to the Government House in Awka disclosed that the list of commissioners is almost ready to be forwarded to the State House of Assembly for screening. The source added that a significant number of former appointees may not be reappointed, while some may be redeployed to other positions.
When contacted, the Chief Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, said he was not in a position to confirm the report, noting that speculation about prospective appointees was premature.
However, in a statement, Aburime confirmed that Ozo Ossy Onuko has been returned to his former position as Managing Director of the Awka Capital Territory Development Agency (ACTDA).
Similarly, Mr Emeka Okonkwo has been reappointed as Managing Director of the Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA), while Mr Chukwuemeka Fred Agata has been appointed Managing Director of the Anambra Information and Communication Technology Agency (ASICTA).
According to him, the appointments are expected to bring renewed vigour and commitment to the respective agencies.
