…Says Decision Inspired by Passion for Service

A former member of the House of Representatives from Ebonyi State, Hon. Lazarus Ogbee, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Ebonyi Central Senatorial seat in the forthcoming National Assembly election.
Ogbee, a frontline contender for the position, made the declaration while addressing stakeholders and supporters in the zone. He announced that he will be contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“With a deep sense of responsibility and unwavering commitment to the progress of our people, I, Rt. Hon. Lazarus Ogbee, hereby formally declare my intention to contest for the position of Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC),” he said.
He noted that his decision was driven by a longstanding passion for public service and a firm belief that the zone deserves experienced, effective, and people-oriented representation at the National Assembly.
Ogbee highlighted his track record in public service, stating that he has served in various capacities, including as Coordinator of a Development Centre, two-term Local Government Chairman, Member of the House of Representatives, and Commissioner.
According to him, these experiences have equipped him with a deep understanding of governance, grassroots development, and legislative responsibilities.
He added that he is committed to leveraging his experience to attract meaningful development, strengthen the zone’s voice at the national level, and deliver tangible results across communities in Ebonyi Central.
Ogbee called on stakeholders, party faithful, and residents of the zone to support his ambition.
“I humbly call on all stakeholders, party faithful, and the good people of our zone to join me in this journey to build a stronger, more united, and prosperous Ebonyi Central,” he said.
