…Reaffirms support ahead of 2027
The Enugu North Senatorial District will on May 2, 2026, host a mega endorsement rally in honour of the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in recognition of what organisers describe as their impactful leadership and contributions to the development of the zone.
The rally is scheduled to take place at the Nsukka Township Stadium by 10:00 a.m., and is expected to attract a wide array of stakeholders from across the senatorial district and beyond.
In a statement issued by the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Chief Ikeje Asogwa, the organisers said the event would also serve as a platform for the people of Enugu North Senatorial District, popularly known as Nsukka Zone, to reaffirm their commitment to supporting both leaders’ return to office in 2027.
According to the statement, the Mbah administration has undertaken several impactful projects across the zone. These include the establishment of Smart Green Schools and Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres in all 102 electoral wards, as well as the upgrade and re-equipping of the Type 3 Primary Healthcare Centre in Adani.
Also highlighted are key infrastructure projects such as the ongoing dualisation of the Abakpa–Ugwuogo Nike–Ekwegbe–Opi Road, and the Ama Brewery–Eke–Akama Oghe–Iwollo–Umulopka Road, which is said to be at an advanced stage of completion. The organisers added that numerous other projects are being executed by both the state and local governments, with more in the pipeline.
The rally is expected to be attended by political leaders across party lines, traditional rulers, religious leaders, business and market stakeholders, women and youth groups, farmers, artisans, civil society organisations, academics, professionals, and students, among others.
