South East Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon Chidiebere Egwu Goodluck has said that the party’s Presidential Candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will score majority of votes in the zone.
In an exclusive chat with EverydayNews the youth leader said the emmergnce of Atiku is a welcome development stating that the candidate has what it takes to dislodge the ruling APC in 2023.
Hon Egwu who congratulated Atiku and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for their emmergnce as PDP flagbearers urged South East youths to get their PVC’s and vote Atiku.
The Youth leader described Atiku as one of the most experienced politicians in the country stressing that with the unity and understanding in the party, “I am very sure PDP will win the Presidential election.
“Nigerians are yearning for Atiku to become President to address the issues of security which is currently threatening the country.
“He will also address the economy because the APC has disappointed the people. There is hunger and starvation in the land and this has exposed APC and its bad leadership.
“It’s not going to be business as usual, he is going to bring drastical changes to the system. He is a man who did so well as the Vice President and is ready to heal the wounds of Nigeria.
“On behalf of the youth leaders of the five South Eastern States I congratulate Atiku and Okowa for their nomination as flag bearers.
“As a party man we have no option than to embrace him, work for him by mobilizing the grassroots. Like in my State, Ebonyi where we have 171 wards, we will deliver all the wards to Atiku and PDP. The same goes for the other four States. South East is PDP and we are ready to show that clearly in the forthcoming election.
“Our candidate is marketable, acceptable and credible. He has his tentacles spread across the country as a detrabalized Nigerian which is surely working for him.
“His Presidency will address issues of Igbo marginalization both in appointment and distribution of amenities. And he is the only one who can wrestle power from the angry lions.
“I am happy that Nigerians are waking up from our slumber; and many people are joining PDP.
“I urged the entire people of Ebonyi, and the South East youths to vote Atiku.
“The time of rigging is gone. I therefore urge all youths to get their PVC’s and ensure they come out to cast their votes on the day of election.”
