Outstanding Enugu LGA Chairman Bags Award of Excellence

For his outstanding developmental strides the Enugu East Local Government Chairman Engr. Pastor Beloved-Dan Obi Anike has been honoured with an award of excellence.

The award was conferred on the Chairman by the prestigious Uma Ukpai School of Theology, Uyo, during its 6th Convocation/Matriculation ceremony.

The prestigious award recognizes his outstanding contributions to human development.

The award is a testament to the administration’s commitment to human capital development, one of its three cardinal programs. Over the last six months his administration has initiated the following:

Implementation of the Enugu East Human Capital Development Bye-Law; Training over 350 youths and women in soft and hard skills;
Flag-off of the Greater Tomorrow Scholarship Scheme, with full scholarship awarded to 50 SS1 students in ivy schools;
Payment of WAEC fees for 1,700 SS3 students, and Profiling of over 600 undergraduates for bursary awards and full scholarships.

The nomination, made by Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, President/Proprietor of the school, acknowledges the Mayor’s remarkable achievements in human development.

The award has received commendations from within and outside the state as a well-deserved recognition following Pastor Anike’s dedication to the development of his people.
