Enugu born pastor and former Local Government chairman Pastor Sam Iyiogwe has called on Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state and other Igbo leaders to intervene and halt the current harassment of Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka.

The Spiritual Director Adoration Ministry has been on the receiving end since he condemned the current state of insecurity, deprivation, and hunger in the land.

He was immediately visited with heavy sanctions by Bishop Callistus Onaga of the Enugu Catholic Diocese who has banned him from commenting on burning issues relating to politics.

Mbaka has also been invited by the DSS for questioning. The man of God himself disclosed this during a sermon at the Adoration ground last Sunday.

Reacting to Mbaka’s recent travails, Pastor Iyiogwe warned that “nothing can stop the voice of the man operating under the Anointing of the Holy Spirit.”

He called on Governor Ugwuanyi and South East leaders, the Catholic church and entire leadership of the church in Nigeria to rise up to ensure that Father Mbaka is not harassed further.

“Father Mbaka is speaking out the evil in our nation which many church leaders and senior citizens have failed to speak because of fear of persecution.

“Nigerians are dying of hunger! People are being killed here and there even in their homes, villages, farm lands and on the roads. Businesses are closing up in all parts of Nigeria. Our Naira is valueless.

“We the political and church leaders have failed our nation Nigeria and God. It’s only the truth, which we are fighting against, that will save Nigeria from her many terrible troubles which are man made.

“We should repent of our wickedness from the top to the Least. No one should dictate the words of the Prophet even the Prophet himself cannot.

“If he speaks lies and falsehood, it’s for him and God to judge such a Prophet. We should do everything possible within the law to keep Enugu State peaceful, so that our State will continue to move forward in infrastructural provisions.’
