The leadership of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has lambasted the federal government of Nigeria over recent attack and alleged threat to arrest Mr Peter Obi.
MASSOB in a statement signed by its Leader Comrade Uchenna Madu noted that the of heavy protest against hunger, high cost of living, government high corruption, impunity and government insensitivities to the welfare of the citizens is not planned or orchestrated by Mr Peter Obi or his nationwide supporters.
He said, “The federal government of Nigeria led Bola Ahmed Tinubu knows that the mobilisation of the pro massive protest is not influenced by Mr Peter Obi but the Northern oligarchy which includes some powerful northern political, religious, opinion and traditional leaders.
“The primary aim of these northern political bourgeoisies is not for the interest of poor Nigerian masses but for their advancement plot to hijack power back to Arewa interest in 2027. It is not about Mr Peter Obi or his supporters interest.
“My Bayo Onanuga and Omokiri are two leading internal and external figures sponsored by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Federal government of Nigeria in waging wars of character assassination, blackmailing and incitement against Mr Peter Obi.”
MASSOB described Mr Peter Obi as a true nationalist, detribalized hope of the common citizens. He is being celebrated nationwide as the hero of modern democracy in Nigeria.
“Though MASSOB believes in Biafra restoration, we acknowledged the input of Mr Peter Obi in advancing the cause of a United Nigeria.”
