A road user and victim of harassment and extortion at the T-Junction flyover in Abakpa has narrated his experience.
In her reaction to a report captioned
Enugi’s Illegal toll gate at T-Junction flyover, a disaster waiting for time, the road user, (names witheld) said the situation is unacceptable.

You pay at the first and second barricade.
I have severally blocked the way due to insistence on not having the money to pay after I’ve paid at the first barricade.
Or at times I argue I don’t have money at all to pay.
I succeeded all those days until they brought armed men who stay at the first barricade (coming from NOWAS)
Few days ago, after I have paid at the first, I got to the second toll gate and asked the guy, are you not aware times are hard. Why do you collect money twice? It should be once at either ends.
He said, shut up, is T because we are not armed? Don’t worry we will get armed men to man here let me see how you pass without dropping anything.
It’s bad.
And if anyone refuses to pay, they stop movememt and you can stay on the queue for minutes until another who is in a hurry opts to take care of that.
The situation is completely unacceptable and deserves strong condemnation.
