Chairman Anambra Traditional Rulers Commends Non Indigenes Over Peace In Communities

Chairman of Anambra Traditional Rulers Council and Monarch of Obosi Community in Idemili North local government area Igwe Chidubem Iweka 11 has commended the Association of Non Indigenes In Anambra State ANIAS for its contributions towards peace and security in the area .

Iweka also urged the non Indigenes in the state to remain law abiding and continue to relate peacefully as they have been doing noting that the host communities would always partner with them at all time .

Making this commendation at the Government House Awka shortly after the joint meeting between government and the leadership of towns in Anambra state, Iweka noted that the cordial relationship between the non Indigenes and the host Community is paramount in the area of fighting insecurity and creating unity in the state.

Speaking earlier the President of the Association of Non Indigenes In Anambra State ANIAS Prince Chigozie Nweke congratulated the traditional ruler on his appointment as the Chairman of the Traditional Rulers Council adding that the leadership of Iweka would have multiplayer effects on the socioeconomic development of Anambra state.

“We congratulate you on your recent appointment as the Chairman of Traditional Rulers in the state and we extend our hands of fellowship to your good office in ensuring peaceful coexistence among us and the host communities.

“Our Association has been involved in the data collection and registration of non indigenes in the communities and we have been working with the respective Town Unions in ensuring the profiling of our members in order to fish out the perpetrators of crime and criminality in Anambra state,” he said.

Prince Chigozie Nweke also commended Gov Charles Soludo for the synergy between the Traditional Institution and the Town Union leaderships in the state .
