Gubernatorial Running Mate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Anambra state Sen Uche Ekwunife has stated that no political party in the country is tribal except the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA.
Ekwunife who disclosed this at the Anambra Central Senatorial District Stakeholders meeting in Awka contended that the claim by some people that the APC is sectional or tribal political party is false noting that any party that adopts a lone ranger status cannot grow.
“No party is a sectional or tribal political party and APC is neither an Igbo party or Yoruba party or Hausa Fulani party but a national party ”
“It is only APGA that claims to be a sectional party with only one state and the party produces National Chairman from only one state and that shows you that the party is not growing”
“The party has remained like that without expanding far and wide like other parties and I wish to urge us all to support the APC and President Ahmed Bola Tinubu” she noted .
Ekwunife also debunked what he called false and bogus claims by APGA that the party has the support of President Tinubu contending that there was never any alliance of that nature .
“Mr President told us to go and win Anambra for the party and that we have his support and that he is behind us.
“So how can Mr President do anti party by hiding his party and his candidate who is a good product inside the warehouse to support and market the product of another person ? that is not possible at all and he never said anything about supporting another party or candidate ” she stated.
State Chairman of the APC Chief Basil Ejidike announced that the party is flagging off local government tour of the state starting with Ayamelum local government area adding that it is going to be a clean sweep at the end of the November 8th gubernatorial election in Anambra.
“We shall flag off local government tours for our campaign starting from Ayamelum local government area and with the mandate given to our party by Mr President it is going to be a clean sweep”
“Go to Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom and you see the gains of connecting to the center and that is what the APC in Anambra state is going to do for the state ” he explained.
