BREAKING: Another Enugu LP candidate writes police, alleges threat to life

Barely 48 hours after the gruesome murder of the Senatorial Candidate of Labour Party for Enugu East Senatorial Zone, Barr. Oyibo Chukwu, by yet to be identified armed men, the Labour Party House of Assembly candidate for Nkanu West constituency, Johnpaul Anih has raised the alarm over threat to his life.
In a letter to the Enugu Commissioner of Police, the candidate expressed apprehension over series of threats by the opposition warning him to steer clear of the race in his own interest.
Johnpaul Anih who is the frontline candidate for the House of Assembly seat in the 2023 election in Nkanu West under the platform of the Labour Party is calling on security agencies and well meaning Nigerians to intervene and save his life.
Speaking with newsmen on Friday, Johnpaul Anih noted that his Campaign Organization through the Director General, Dr. Ene Nwannaji has written a formal complaint to the Enugu state Commissioner of police with a view to averting another tragedy.
Anih stated that the notice was to alert all Nigerians, his family, friends, colleagues and fellow patriots that his life is under serious threat.
