Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has been nominated for the conferment of State Honours as the Grand Service Star of Rivers State ( GSSRS).
A statement from the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Information and State Orientation Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji disclosed this to newsmen at the weekend.
He said the distinguished award from the Government of Rivers State is in recognition of his examplary life achievements, outstanding contributions to the advancement of national cohesion, equity and justice and his invaluable leadership dispositions to the Government and people of Rivers State.
The Governor of Rivers State who was said to have acted pursuant to his powers under the Rivers State Honours Law, 2017 approved the conferment of the Star Honours to be accordingly conferred to the people’s Ebonyi Governor on a date to be communicated in due course.
The Commissioner wrote; “All hail the Governor of Ebonyi State and all glory to God for announcing the virtues of his servant to the world. To God be the glory.”
