The Senator Deputy Chief Whip and Senator Representing Ebonyi North Senatorial zone, Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi said that as part of his commitment in empowering members of his constituents, a total of 20 mini buses, 20 tricycles (Keke Napep), 100 motorcycles, 200 grinding machines among others will be distributed on the 5th of January 2025.
Senator Nwebonyi said that as a member of the 10th National Assembly, he has also attracted the 361kms Ebonyi-Benue-Abuja link road including 20kms internal roads spread across the four council areas in Ebonyi North zone.
The Federal Lawmaker made the disclosure in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital when he paid a visit to the office of the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha to celebrate Christmas with the party in the State.
He maintained that by next year, he will prioritize housing for indigent people in the senatorial zone adding that APC Youth leaders across the 56 ward in zone will equally be captured in the next year budget underscoring his love for the party.
The inimitable federal lawmaker later donated two million naira to the party executives, a sizeable cow and sixty bags of rice. He equally announced that he will commence the building of deluxe bungalows for the four APC women leaders across the council areas in Ebonyi North Senatorial district by next year.
Senator Nwebonyi while commending the Party for giving him the platform to go to the National Assembly, emphasized that he passionately believes in the supremacy of the party.
“As part of my commitment to the party, a total of 56 motorcycles was earlier distributed to all the 56 APC ward chairmen across Ebonyi North zone and a Toyota Corolla cars to the four APC local government chairmen in the senatorial district.
“During our empowerment program, I will be distributing grinding machines to the 56 APC Ward women leaders including other items.
“I have come to celebrate Christmas with you people because you made me what I’m today. The mandate I’m holding today is courtesy of the party. You prepared me very well and that’s why I’m number 6 out of the 109 Senators in Nigeria.
He also thanked the executive members of the party for their unflinching support to the State Governor Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru adding that he will continue to partner them in strengthening the party.
Earlier, the State APC chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha appreciated Senator Nwebonyi for his kind gestures to the party noting that the party never made any mistake by giving him the mandate to represent them in Abuja.
He extolled his leadership ingenuity, effective representation and humanitarian services of Senator Nwebonyi and assured him that the party is solidly behind him.
