The Enugu State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Martin Chukwunwike, has lauded the Council Chairman of Enugu North Local Government Area, Dr. Ibenaku Onoh, for his significant efforts in revitalizing and positioning the party for enhanced electoral success.
Dr. Chukwunwike made these remarks on Wednesday during the inauguration of the party executives at both the local government and ward levels held at the Enugu North Local Government Secretariat, Okpara Avenue.
In his speech, he highlighted the unity and dedication to grassroots development demonstrated by the party in the council, crediting the impressive leadership provided by Dr. Onoh.
Dr. Chukwunwike further stated that his visit, alongside his entourage, was to oversee one of the most critical activities in the party— the inauguration of the ward and local government executives. He added that Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah had directed the immediate inauguration of all party leaders at the grassroots level to strengthen the party’s foundation and promote its advancement.
In his address, the Secretary of the PDP in Enugu State, Hon. Chukwudi Nnadozie, expressed gratitude to party members for their unwavering support.
He disclosed that part of the ongoing reforms includes the introduction of party identity cards, a move aimed at digitizing the party’s operations for greater efficiency.
While addressing the gathering of party leaders and stakeholders, the Chairman of Enugu North Local Government Area, Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh, welcomed the state party leadership and expressed the happiness of party members in the council.
Dr. Onoh stated that the party in the council had undergone significant reforms to make it a formidable force in the state, which he believes will translate into successful electoral outcomes.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the PDP in Enugu North Local Government Area, Hon. Ernest Onuoha, expressed appreciation to the state leadership of the party for their unwavering support and guidance.
He revealed that under his leadership, the party had developed programs designed to maximize the potential of its members, ensuring the PDP remains the preferred party for the residents of the state.
Hon. Onuoha also lauded Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for deploying innovations and impactful projects to establish the party as a grassroots force, noting that the administration’s achievements are being felt across the state.
He further thanked Dr. Onoh for his continuous support for the party and urged other local government council chairmen to emulate his dedication and leadership style.
