In a resounding affirmation of leadership, Chief Ejike Abugu has been re-elected as the Chairman of the Amufie Town Union (ATU), Enugu State branch.
He was returned unopposed, demonstrating strong support from the community.
The newly elected executives include: – Pharm. Odo Ernest, Secretary – Chief Boniface Ugwu, Vice Chairman – Chinedu Adonu, Assistant Secretary – Oliver Abugu, Treasurer – Ugwu Uchenna, Financial Secretary – Ali Ikenna and Onyebuchi Eke, Provosts I and II respectively
During the inauguration ceremony, Justice Harold Eya urged the new executives to adhere strictly to the Union’s Constitution while managing its affairs.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Abugu expressed gratitude to the union for the support and for conducting a free, fair, and credible election.
He pledged his commitment to advancing the union’s interests and to making the Enugu branch a leading example for others.
He emphasized the importance of regular community meetings and urged those who have not yet joined to do so promptly, stating, “Make hay while the sun shines.”
“I thank you all for the support and the trust you have placed in us. We will not let you down. Our goal is to make Enugu State’s branch the best and a model for others to follow,” he affirmed.
