Family members are suspecting poison but inside hospital sources believe carbon monoxide must have caused the deaths.
Three family members including father, mother and son were found dead recently in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.
They went to bed the previous night but couldn’t wake up next morning.
The family which resides in Onitsha Anambra State were said to have returned home for the traditional rites of one of the daughters who was being given out in marriage.
The doors were forced open next morning, and their lifeless bodies found after they failed to wake up nor respond to heavy knocks on the doors.
However, four of the daughters were brought to the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, UNTH Ituku-Ozalla unconscious and have remained at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital for about one week now.
Our source said the villagers are alleging poison from possible enemies but the hospital believe carbon monoxide from a generator could have caused the harm.
Our source disclosed suggestions for autopsy to determine cause of death but this is said to be subject to the decision of the immediate family members.
