BREAKING: Gov Nwifuru Presents 2025 Budget Estimate Of N396.58billion To EBHA

The Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru has presented to the State House of Assembly, a budget estimate of N396.589.009.620.00 Billion for the 2025 fiscal year.

The appropriation bill, tagged “Budget of Economic and Social Development according to the Governor is aimed at addressing the shortfalls in the various sectors Health, Development, Housing, Infrastructural Development, Agriculture, Education, Water Supply, Human Capital Commerce, Industry and Business Development among others.

Governor Nwifuru said that the budget would guarantee industrialization, economic growth and improved standard of living for the people of the state adding that tremendous improvement is being projected in the proposed 2025 budget for the Health and Education sectors as compared to the 2024 final budget.

He noted that Recurrent budget stands at N112.073, 861,620.00 adding that personnel cost stands at N36.656 billion, Overhead cost, N75.417 billion while capital Expenditure has a total budget of N284.515billion.

Governor Nwifuru who laid emphasis on the economic and social sector in the budget noted that while the economic sector is expected to gulp the sum of N152, 688,755billion, the social sector will gulp the total sum of N115, 010, 713billion.

Governor Nwifuru noted that under the social sector, the Ministry of Education has a total budget of N70.143billion while Health has a total budget of N39.012billion

He maintained that the budget proposal will not be achieved without the 2025 revenue
projections adding that under Independent Revenue IGR, Tax Revenue projection stands at N14.392,444.278billion while Non Tax Revenue is proj credit at 14.106.960.342billion totalling N28.499.409.620 representing 7.19%.

Under Capital Development Fund, Governor Nwifuru said that the State is projecting a total sum of N175billion Revenue generation fund adding that it will assist the State to accomplish its projects in 2025.

He said that his administration has embarked on procurement of multi-billion naira medical equipment and consumables for general hospitals across the State, including but not limited to MRI machines, CT Scanners. Ends.
