At least 30 members of the Indigenous People of Biafra who returned from the United Kingdom to Nigeria are alleged to be missing and there whereabout unknown.

This is coming as three more members are set to be sent back to the country by the British authorities despite their appeals to the government of that country.

Disclosing this yesterday to reporters a human right lawyer Barr John Bosco Udeaja said that the British authorities do not appreciate the situation in Nigeria adding that should the other three be deported they cannot guarantee their safety.

We have been following the process of sending these members of IPOB, three of them and they include,vMr Nduka Jonadad Iwunze , Benjamin Okafor and Emmanuel Chikelue .

They have had their Appeals against the administrative removal dismissed on the reason that they have not been able to establish the fate of IPOB Members that have returned from the U.K .

The British authorities do not know that about thirty members of IPOB that returned to Nigeria are missing and their family members do not know where they are and the security system in this country have not been helping matters in assisting their relatives find them.

The arrest of IPOB members is like a cash cow for security operatives because family members and friends pay lump sum to find them we do not know if they are under the custody of the operatives.

Against this back drop we urge the U.K government not to deport the three young men due to the fact that we cannot guarantee their safety at the moment and it would not speak well of the government over there to send this young men only for them to be abducted or killed.; he said.
