A Police Officer was shot and killed by rampaging gunmen who attacked a Police Patrol Team In Ohafia Abia State Wednesday Morning.
The Patrol Team from the Ohafia Area Commend were said to be on patrol within Ohafia Town when they were attacked.
A reliable source told everydaynewsngr.net that the Patrol Team led by one ASP Etim Obungha were double crossed by the gunmen at Asaga Road by Terry Key.
The gunmen numbering about six reportedly opened fire on the policemen killing ASP Edet Ubokulo and made away with his AK-47 Riffle.
One ASP Etim Obungha who was also shot escaped into the bush with his rifle while Corporal Chukwuma also escaped to the station with bullet wound on his right leg.
Police sources say rescue teams were sent and are currently on the tail of the fleeing gunmen some of whom reportedly sustained gunshot wounds.
