The state NDLEA Commander, Mr Jude Ahamefule, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Abakaliki that the arrests and seizures were made between October and December 2025.
He said the arrests included “123 males and 34 females, out of which six were convicted.”
Ahamefule said the drugs seized included cannabis sativa, heroin, methamphetamine, tramadol, diazepam and psychotropic substances.
“We rehabilitated and discharged four clients, and admitted six within the period under review.
“Forty-four suspects were referred to the counselling unit of the command in the period under review,” Ahamefule said.
He pledged the command’s commitment to the fight against drug abuse and trafficking in the state.
He urged those involved in such illegal activities to desist, both in the state and the country at large.
NDLEA is a federal law enforcement agency charged with eliminating the growing, processing, manufacturing, selling, exporting, and trafficking of hard drugs.
