About three Soldiers are feared to have been killed by unknown gunmen who attacked a military checkpoint in Abia State Wednesday Morning.
The incident reportedly took place at about 06:18hrs at Carpenter shed EKENOBIZI UMUOPARA BEFORE ONUIMO BRIDGE.
The attack on the newly established military checkpoint has raised tension in the area.
During the attack, the gunmen issued a stern warning to Governor Alex Otti. Authorities are investigating the incident, while security forces have heightened patrols in the area.
Three Soldiers were said to have been killed and one other beheaded.
Having dislodged the soldiers the gunmen in a viral video making the rounds dismantled the checkpoint throwing away the sand bags which formed a shield for the soldiers.
