The political permutations that would determine the trajectory of Enugu state 2023 gubernatorial contest is getting clearer as the people of Enugu West senatorial zone organised, today, 07/08/21, the mother of all rallies where they declared their commitment to the clockwise zoning arrangement of East, West and North.
They affirmed Enugu East for the 2023 governorship seat of the state insisting that the zoning has entrenched peace in the state since the inception of the present democratic dispensation in 1999.
The rally was graced by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, governor of Enugu state, deputy governor, Barr. (Mrs) Cecilia Ezeilo and a host of other political heavyweights across all the geo-political zones of the state including the possible 2023 gubernatorial contestants, notable among whom is Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa, who, unarguably, appears set to be the most colourful politician that may be running for the governorship race of Enugu state in 2023.
His emergence in Okpara Square on 17/07/21 during the Enugu East zonal rally showed high level of organisation, sophistication and mass appeal as his supporters, cutting across all age strata occupied nearly all available spaces for the rally in Okpara Square.
Similar scenario played out Saturday at the Awgu Local Government Secretariat field, venue of Ife Emelumma rally as friends of Odalije Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa were on hand, en mass, to show their support and preparedness to swim to victory with him in the 2023 gubernatorial contest.
Their colourful appearance spiced, with different musical troupe, and strengthened by their numerical strength in thousands higher than any other singular support group that attended the rally shows that Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa is, perhaps, an emerging political master strategist and tactician of huge electoral worth.
Political pundits in the state are amazed at the ease with which thousands of his supporters gather in support of his ambition in different political rallies. He remains the gubernatorial candidate to watch as Enugu people head towards 2023 elections
