The deceased, Salma Yunusa, was said to be living under the care of her elder sister, one Bilikisu Yunusa, around Byazhin area in the town.

City & Crime learnt that the police had arrested the suspect, one Immaculate Chukwudi, who lives with them in the same compound as a co-tenant.

The deceased’s sister, Bilikisu, while speaking to City & Crime on Sunday, said there was an argument between the suspect and another male tenant simply called Pastor and she, Bilikisu, tried to intervene.

She said, ‘’I saw the pastor parking off his clothes that he washed, even though they were yet to dry and when I tried to find out why, he simply told me that it’s the suspect that demanded it. I commended his decision, only for the woman to come out and threatened to deal with me, accusing me of being involved in the matter. She brought out a knife later around 10 pm in the night, and continued to make some noise in the house.
