The Ebonyi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Stanley Emegha yesterday said that the party has petitioned the State Commissioner of Police and other relevant agencies for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Princess, Ann Agom-Eze, a senatorial rival to Governor David Umahi over alledged perjury.
Chief Emegha who made the disclosure in his office while briefing journalists said that he has already forwarded a petition letter to the Nigeria Police for necessary actions against her.
He alleged that Mrs. Ago-Eze lied on oath adding that before now, she wrote a letter of withdrawal to the National Chairman of the APC and also swore an oath in the court of law to that effect but only to turn around to deny the oath she took before the court.
“This is a letter of withdrawal she personally wrote to the National Chairman of APC, signed by her. She didn’t stop at that, she also swore an oath before the court which we also have. There are other documents she personally signed and also swore oath to that effect”.
“Now she turned around to openly deny that she never withdrew from the race. We are charging her to court for perjury. I have written a letter to the CP for her to be arrested and charged to Court”
“She demanded from the party the sun of N20million and a Prado Jeep and the question is, on what ground are we giving her N20million and a Jeep. What is her contribution to the party, what can she boast of as a member of the party to make such demand”.
“We are aware that she is working with the opposition to create crisis, division and disaffection within the party. We won’t allow her achieve her aim”.
Emegha insisted that it is impossible for Ann Agom-Eze to fly the Ebonyi South Senatorial ticket of APC in the state adding that she is playing the script of the Senator Representating Ebonyi South zone who wants Governor Umahi out of the race at all cost. Ends.
