Disappointed fans of Enugu Rangers Football Club Saturday threw stones at the Clubs coaching crew following a frustrating 2-2 draw against visiting 3SC FC in Awka.
The away team came from two goals down to level scores and run away with an away point throwing the Awka city stadium into confusion.
Omoduemuke scored twice at 73rd and 88th minutes to give 3SC a point in the game.
Speaking to reporters in an interview after the game, coach Agoye Edito Olumide of 3SC said the away team had a game plan.
“It was a very difficult game for us because Rangers is a very strong team. Their position on the table is not by mistake and they have one of the best coaches in Nigeria Football.
“We created many chances and converted two. We knew we are coming to face a very formidable team here in Awka and they leaved up to expectation. We came with a game plan which we tried to execute and at the end of the game, we are happy with the result.
” Last weekend in Ibadan against Abia warriors, we where leading with two goals, they came from behind and equalised. It was a difficult one for us to take. We have learned from the mistakes we made, and have replicated the same thing here today which means the mistake we made last week has been corrected here. we will improve as time goes on.
Speaking on there next game the 3SC coach said “Rivers United as we already know are the champions and are the toughest side in Nigeria Football. It won’t be an easy game for us but with the result of today and the character the players showed, we will give everything against Rivers United and hopefully we will take the three points.
Speaking about the Awka Stadium he said ” The pitch is very good. If you don’t know how to play, then come and play on thisvstadium, it will make you a better player.
