At least two policemen are feared to have been killed by unknown who reportedly attacked a checkpoint at the Garki area of the State capital.
Sources say there was heavy shooting at the popular MTD junction in Akwuke, as the operatives engaged the gunmen in a shootout.
Details of the attack which happened at about 10am Thursday were still sketchy as at the time of this report.
Efforts to get police confirmation failed as the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO DANIEL Ndukwe did not respond to calls out across by our reporter.
