The North appear to have reached a consensus to support former Vice President Atiku Abubakar hours to voting at the Abuja PDP National convention.
Consequently, Sokoto Governor Aminu Tambuwal has stepped down for Atiku.
He said ”Time has come for us to make sacrifices in the interest of our party and our nation. I have come to the conclusion that I have to step down.”
