One person was shot dead Thursday afternoon as unknown gunmen attacked the popular Garki motor park, in Enugu.
The victim, a man whose identity is not yet known as at the time of this report was reportedly shot inside the motor park.
The shooting sparked off chaos and pandemonium as people ran helter skelter for safety.
Residents around the Mayor bus also started running as the news of the attack in nearby Garki got to them.
Motive for the attack is not yet clear but eye witness, a lady, whose phone was also robbed confirmed the gunmen also robbed some of their victims at the park snatching phones before making good their escape.
The Garki park is located inside the Garki market which is one of the largest markets in The Enugu Capital.
