A major crisis was averted yesterday in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State at a rally organized by the leading House of Reps candidate for Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency Chief Wilfred Okeke.
The APGA candidate incurred the wrath of the crowd when he started to make case for the PDP Presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
But for his popularity and philanthropy, the situation would have degenerated into a major fracas.
However the situation was arrested and the rally went on peacefully as the popular candidate gave reasons for Atiku’s candidacy.
He informed his people that he has direct contact to Atiku. He also assured his people for better tomorrow if Atiku is voted.
The people of Aguoba promised to Abide by Engr Wilfred Okeke’s instructions, “because he has been fair to you.”
Chief Okeke while addressing the group for Atiku in his office appealed to them not to be disappointed by the little misunderstanding at the rally.
The campaign coordinator however, urged Chief Okeke to equip the team with more security.
