CNPP disowns Adonis Igwe…dissociates itself from statement attacking Nkanu rally

Executives of CNPP Enugu State chapter has dissociated itself from a press statement attacking the recent rally by Enugu East zone at Okpara Square.

In a counter statement signed by the Enugu State Chairman of the CNPP Hon. Afam Ani, the group condemned the statement and disowned the author whom they said does not speak for CNPP.

The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to m a press release by one faceless and disgruntled political clown in the person of one Adonis Igwe who has repeatedly and falsely presented himself as the chairman of CNPP Enugu State chapter.

“The Executives of CNPP Enugu State chapter wish to dissociate itself from the so-press release. We, the Executives do not engage in frivolous and baseless ranting. We engage in constructive and issue based criticism of the government activities and suggest our own views of how best to make things work for the good of the citizens of the state.

“The Nkanu Abata or Oganiru Nkanu rally was organised by the Enugu East Senatorial zone cutting across Enugu East, Enugu North, Enugu south, Isi-Uzo,Nkanu East and Nkanu west local government areas to honour the Governor of Enugu State and to drive home their demand for an Enugu East senatorial zone governor come 2023.

‘If the concerned citizens of these local government areas decides to honour the Governor by closing the market for a day based on how they cherish his governance, how does that concern Adonis Igwe. Or is this a ploy to recover his missing feeding bottle?

“We the Executives of CNPP Enugu State chapter wish to advise Adonis Igwe to desist henceforth from using the name of CNPP for seeking recognition from the government as this is now old fashioned.

“We also use this medium to warn Adonis Igwe to retrace his clandestine blasphemy of being the chairman of Enugu State chapter of CNPP to avoid being prosecuted.”
