Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in 2023, Mr Peter Obi has defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Obi, who propelled the Labour Party in 2023, officially joined the opposition coalition party, ADC on Wednesday in Enugu.
The event, ongoing at the Nike Lake Resort, is being attended by national leaders of the ADC.
The former governor of Anambra said his defection ahead of the 2027 election is aimed transforming and rescuing Nigeria.
He vowed to resist any form of rigging in 2027.
“We are ending this year with the hope that in 2026 we will begin a rescue journey,” he declared.
“We will resist rigging of election by every lawful means in 2027, he added.
