Senatorial aspirant for Anambra North under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, has pledged to facilitate the construction of access roads to key food-producing communities in the district.
Obiogbolu made the commitment during a consultative visit to Ayamelum Local Government Area, as part of his engagement with party stakeholders ahead of the upcoming primary elections.
He noted that, in addition to improving access roads, he would support local farmers with essential inputs and infrastructure to enable all-year-round farming across Anambra North.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Obiogbolu outlined a results-driven agenda centered on agriculture, education, and critical infrastructure as the pillars of his development strategy for the zone.
He emphasized plans to enhance access to farming inputs, develop internal farm roads, and strengthen the agricultural value chain to boost productivity and increase rural incomes.
“Representation must be purposeful,” he said. “It is about identifying real challenges and pursuing solutions that improve lives. Our people deserve policies that translate into opportunities, especially for farmers, traders, and workers.”
Obiogbolu also assured constituents of strong collaboration with both federal and state governments to ensure that development agendas are translated into tangible benefits for the people.
He further highlighted education support, expansion of road and water transportation, improved healthcare delivery, enhanced electricity supply, and strengthened security as key focus areas.
The aspirant added that targeted programmes for youth and women would remain central to achieving inclusive growth in the district, stressing that effective representation must be practical, impactful, and responsive to the needs of the people.
