Prominent members of the All progressives Congress APC in Enugu state, have reaffirmed commitment for the re-election of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governor Peter Mbah.

Among them are, the state Caretaker Committee Chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye, Senator Kelvin Chukwu, representing Enugu East senatorial district and the Deputy National chairman of the party (South) Chief Emma Eneukwu.

They posited that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which is a comprehensive plan aimed at transforming Nigeria’s economy and restoring public confidence in governance has started yielding tremendous positive results in Nigeria.

Speaking to newsmen weekend at his Amurri political ward in Nkanu West Council area of the state, shortly after revalidating his membership of the APC electronically, Senator Chukwu, who recently decamped to the Nigeria’s ruling party from the opposition labour party, said he has no regret taking the decision.

The upper chamber of the Nigeria’s National Assembly NASS lawmaker, added that his resolve to defect to the APC was informed by the human oriented programme and policies of president Tinubu and his home state, governor, Mbah, whom he listed among the best performing governors in the country.

According to him, the only way the Enugu state electorate and Nigerians at large could reciprocate the good works of president Tinubu and governor Mbah, is to get them re-lected, “but for that to happen, our people must embrace the ongoing APC E- Registration exercise so as to obtain their membership and also get their voters card ahead of the general elections.

In his remark, Dr. Nwoye, who also hail from same Amurri Community, posited that with the coming together of all the heavyweights politicians in the Community under one political platform, it would be extremely difficult for “any body outside APC to contest and win any election in this area in 2027. It’s going to be an upheaval task for the person” he stated.

He said the senator Chukwu’s membership revalidation exercise, has laid to rest comments in some quarters as to whether the lawmaker has actually left the Labour party for APC.

Nwoye, however, urged old members of the APC to endeavour to revalidate their membership of the party in the ongoing revalidation exercise, just as he called on those yet to get registered to embrace the exercise, so as to become bonafide members.

He insisted that president Tinubu and governor Mbah deserves second term in office so as to enable them consolidate on the great achievements their administrations have recorded during their first tenures in office.

Meanwhile, the Deputy National chairman of the APC, (South), chief Enukwu, had during his membership revaluation exercise at his Obinagu ward in Udi local government area of the state Saturday, harped on the need for the electorate to get themselves equipped with their membership and voters cards.

He explained that the newly introduced E- method of new registration and old membership revalidation by the party was aimed at ensuring that the ruling APC is abreast with the 21st century of operating political party.

Enukwu said “Obinagu, this is the time for our people to register and get their membership cards, so as to vote president Bola Tinubu and gov Mbah in 2027.

The Deputy National Chairman, assured president Tinubu that Enugu state will score at least, 2 million votes for APC in the 2027 elections as against the abysmal 4,000 votes the state recorded in 2023.

Our Correspondent writes that the Chief of Staff to governor Peter Mbah, Barrister Victor Udeh, was also formally admitted into the APC on Saturday at his Umuabi Community in Udi local government area of the state, amid fun fare.

The Tinubu’s Renewed hope agenda focuses on key areas such as economic reforms, security, infrastructure development, agriculture, healthcare, and youth empowerment
