Operation Restore Peace: Enugu CP meets with market, transport, Student leaders

As part of efforts to ensure smooth implementation of the recently launched Operation Restore Peace in the South East Enugu Commissioner of Police Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, psc, has met with transport, market, youths and students leaders.

The meeting was to interact, sensitize them and other law-abiding citizens of the State, on the need for sustained support to the Command, in its bid to professionally stabilize security order in the State through the Operation.

The Commissioner used the opportunity to further acquaint them with the purpose of the Operation which, among other things, is to stabilize security order and restore the Southeast Zone to its historical pride of place, where its highly respected people are known to be peaceful, tolerant, innovative, industrious and entrepreneurial.

He also reaffirms commitment to collaborate with Sister Security Agencies and law-abiding citizens to maximally attain goals of the Operation in the State, in view of emerging security challenges.

He therefore, urges the citizenry to remain law-abiding and go about their lawful businesses without fear of intimidation or harassment from any person(s), while promptly reporting suspected criminals and their activities to the nearest Police Station or by calling the Command’s emergency hotlines on: 08032003702, 08075390883, 08086671202 or 08098880172.

Enugu Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP DANIEL NDUKWE reports that Operation Restore Peace in the South East was launched in Enugu recently by Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Alkali Baba Usman.
