Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, disclosed this after a high-level security meeting with heads of other security agencies in the state. The meeting, held at the Command Headquarters, finalized robust security arrangements for the conference.
In a statement signed by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Daniel Ndukwe, CP Giwa noted that the deliberations produced a massive, intelligence-driven, proactive, and collaborative deployment of security personnel and resources across Enugu State.
“Adequate operational measures have been instituted to guarantee a safe, secure, and hitch-free event. We urge participants and residents to remain law-abiding, cooperative with security operatives, and confident in the unwavering commitment of the Police and sister agencies to their safety before, during, and after the conference,” he stated.
The Police Commissioner further welcomed NBA leadership, members, and guests to Enugu, while urging them to stay vigilant and promptly report suspicious individuals, objects, or distress situations. Representatives of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Madueke, the Nigeria Customs Service Anambra/Ebonyi/Enugu Area Command, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Enugu Zonal Office, also participated in the meeting, reaffirming a united security front for the conference.
