The rising spate of insecurity in the South East has continued unabated as a policeman was reported shot dead in Ebonyi State Tuesday afternoon.
The victim whose identity is still vague as at the time of filling this report was reportedly shot at Onueke in Ezza South Local Government Area of the State.
Though the circumstances surrounding the incident is still not clear, an eye witness confirmed that the body has been deposited at a mortuary in Abakaliki, the state capital.
The killing of another policeman is coming few hours after an attack at a military checkpoint reportedly left 3 persons dead.
A Federal High Court in Abakaliki was also set ablaze by unknown persons.
