Family Announces Funeral of Mrs. Anna Ugochi Nwigwe, Who Died at 78

The family of Ven. Prof. Nwora Samuel Nwigwe (JP) has announced the funeral arrangements for his wife, Mrs. Anna Ugochi Nwigwe (née Anyanwu), who passed away on February 25, 2026, after a brief illness. She was 78 years old.

According to a funeral announcement released by the family, the late Mrs. Nwigwe will be laid to rest in her hometown of Obodo Amaimo, Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.
The funeral activities will begin with a Service of Songs and Vigil at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the residence of Ven. Prof. Nwora Samuel Nwigwe (JP).
On Friday, July 24, 2026, her body will leave Aladinma Hospital Mortuary, Owerri, at 7:00 a.m. for a lying-in-state, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, Obodo Amaimo.

She will be interred immediately after the church service within the church premises.
A Thanksgiving Service in her honour is scheduled for Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, Obodo Amaimo.
Mrs. Nwigwe is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family, who described her as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt whose life was marked by faith and service.
