
The erstwhile secretary of Enugu North Local Government Area Hon Barr Martin Chukwunulu Edeh has said that his resignation was voluntary.
In a statement to clear the controversy trailing his resignation the Secretary said he was not forced to resign as the Secretary of Enugu North Council.
Barr Edeh said that he wishfully resigned his appointment as the Secretary of Enugu North Council in his best interest and to face his legal profession which he has successfully practiced over the years.
“I wish to inform the general public that the rumour making round the news about my forceful resignation is false.
“For record purpose, I was never forced to resign my appointment as being speculated by the media. I wishfully resigned my appointment to enable me concentrate on my legal profession because I enjoy it more than politics.
“I want to also use this medium to thank specially the Executive Governor of Enugu State Rt Hon Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for giving me the opportunity to serve as the Secretary of the Enugu North LGA, I also appreciate the Executive Chairman of Enugu North Local Government Area Hon Emeka Onunze for the cordial and robust relationship we had while working together.
“The mayor is a kind man who has also done well as the council boss.
“Let me also state it clearly that while I practice my legal profession I will continue to do my best for the overall development of Enugu North LGA and the society at large.”
The controversial resignation of the Enugu North Secretary is becoming interesting.
