Tansian University Nursing Student Wins Anambra Essay Competition, Heads to Zonal Stage

The Department of Nursing Science, Tansian University, has recorded an outstanding academic feat after emerging top performer at the Anambra State level of the Florence Nightingale Essay Competition organized by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
The competition featured participants from eleven Departments of Nursing Science drawn from universities and Colleges of Nursing Science across Anambra State. Representing Tansian University, Anajemba Dabeluchukwu clinched first place with an impressive score of 83 points, emerging overall winner and securing qualification for the South-East Zonal level of the competition.
Two other students from the university also posted commendable performances. Obi Marvelous Chisom scored 77 points to place strongly among the top contenders, while Okafor Daniella Chizaram followed closely with 74 points, further underscoring the department’s depth in academic excellence.
The Department of Nursing Science lauded the students for their confidence, dedication, and scholarly rigor, noting that their performances brought pride and recognition to the institution. The department congratulated Anajemba Dabeluchukwu on the well-deserved victory and wished her continued success at the next stage of the competition.
Tansian University will represent Anambra State at the South-East Zonal Florence Nightingale Essay Competition scheduled for February 25, 2026, at the College of Nursing Sciences, Enugu State University Teaching Hospital (ESUTH), Parklane Auditorium, Enugu.
