Gubernatorial candidate of the Action Alliance AA in the November 8th election in Anambra state Ozo Jeff Nweke has lamented the near absence of social security and ego driven leadership in the area .
Nweke who spoke to reporters in Awka Capital City Anambra state accused successive administrations in the state of being self centered adding that most policies and programs have always centered on the parochial interests of those in power with little or no regards to the tax payers in the state.
He further noted that his interest in the governance of Anambra state is to reconnect the masses with government and to ensure that the basic social security apparatus are restored to the people.
“,My dear Anambra people , I will be in power to serve you all and you know that I know where the problems are”
“Those that have been in power are there for their selfish interests and not for your interest”
“All the policies and programs that they make are to suite their own purpose and not to make life better for the masses”
Nweke challenged the Anambra voters to take advantage of his candidacy to change the old narrative which he would be the driving force.
“For once Anambra people have to make a choice of the kind of leadership that they need and I have offered my self for that change”
“I am in the race to ensure that the issue of ego driven leadership would be become a thing of the past”
“I have seen homes where the man of the house struggle without end to pay school fees , house rents and to provide medical services to his family when government is expected to do that ”
“The absence of social security has been the bane of leadership and governance in our society today but I offer myself to right the wrongs of the past and restore confidence in governance”
“It is my solemn promise that Anambra will not be the same again when I come into the saddle”he promised.
