The Management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki (AE-FUTHA) yesterday raised the alarm over alleged job scam by some unscrupulous elements in the State.
The Management said that some fraudsters now go about using the name of the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Emeka Onwe to defraud unsuspecting members of the public in the name of securing job appointment for them in the institution.
In a statement signed by Mr. Callistus Okonkwo, Director Administration for the Management of the institution said that management frowns at such fraudulent activity.
Mr. Okonkwo who described the ugly development as unfortunate, unpatriotic and calculated attempt to undermine the integrity of the Chief Medical Director urged the public not to fall to the antics of the fraudsters.
According to the statement, “the worst of all, is that they front the name of the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Hospital, Dr. Emeka Onwe Ogah, as his agent”.
“Management is by this notice alerting the general Public that there is no job recruitment going on at AE-FUTHA much more asking people to bring money, as recruitment is always advertised in National Dailies”.
The Director said that management of the institution would not give a hitch to discuss any matter concerning bribering for job appointment in the institution.
“The general public is therefore warned in their own interest never to fall prey to those wolves as they may be taking a risk that they alone will be liable to.
“The Management also shall not be in a position to discuss any matter concerning giving out of money to anyone, as they never asked anybody to collect money on behalf of the CMD or any other member of the top Management. Please be warned”. Ends
