Anambra Guber: Onyeze Picks Accord Party Ticket, Promises To Touch More Lives As Governor

Philanthropist Chief Charles Chidi Onyeze was on Tuesday nominated as the gubernatorial candidate of the Accord Party ahead of the November 8th election in Anambra state.

Onyeze who is the founder of Onyeze Humanitarian Foundation was the only aspirant that bought the nomination and expression of interest forms of the Accord Party was returned unopposed.

However the 105 accredited delegates of the party which were drawn five per local government area voted for him hence pulling a total of 93 votes from n the process.

In his acceptance speech Onyeze noted that the main trust of his administration if elected is to run an all inclusive administration adding that no local government or community would be left out in his drive towards developing Anambra state.

“I already have a Foundation which has been touching the lives of our people and with me as the governor of Anambra I will extend it further and run an all inclusive administration ” he said.

Speaking shortly after the primary election the state Chairman of the Accord Party Chief Batho Igwedibia noted that the process was peaceful adding that it is not like other parties that chose to violence.

“As you can see it has been a peaceful process because we are law abiding party and everyone comported themselves in the most orderly manner ”

“Our party is number one in the ballot and we shall remain number one at all times ” he said.

The Chairman of the Primary Committee Elder Ibe Kelechukwu noted that the process was in line with the constitution of the party and the Electoral Act adding that the representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC were present at the election.
