More revealtions about Sunday killings by a trigger happy policeman has continued to emerge even as Enugu police command refuses to disclose his identify.
Everyday News can authoritatively report that the Police officer who was on duty at RC Lotto Company located in the Golf Estate, GRA, Enugu, was providing security for the company.
He was said to be working with two other gatemen and had lived in the house with most of the victims for six months.
The incident was said to have happened at about 9:am on Sunday.
The man, an Inspector reportedly opened fire on the two security men with him killing them instantly.
Seeing what was happening, the others in the compound ran into one of the rooms and locked the door.
But the Inspector opened the window through which he rained bullets at them, as they reportedly laid on the bed in fear.
He was said to have called their names to see if anyone was still alive. There was no response and he felt relaxed that the mission was accomplished.
But, the killing would not be over yet as two persons, one a mechanic in the vicinity and another neighbor who came to see what was amiss came face to face with the blood soaked eyes of the Inspector.
He immediately shot them to increase the number of casualties.
It was time to cover up the crime and he personally called the police to inform that gunmen stormed the house leaving a heap of casualties.
But immediately the police arrived, the cook who was reportedly hiding in a corner surprisingly jumped out to narrate what he saw; and how the Inspector, rather than gunmen did the killings.
Motive for the action is still unknown even as those in hospital confirmed that they had no issues with the Inspector.
They revealed that they have lived together in peace for months.
They also informed that the Inspector neither smokes nor drinks.
He has long been arrested but the police are yet to reveal his identity.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese who owns the company is said to have travelled before the incident.
